How do I get to St. James' Park?
St. James' Park is truly a city centre stadium and is located in the heart of Newcastle upon Tyne.
While there is public parking available close to the stadium, we recommend taking a look at our dedicated travel hub - www.altoonativetravel.com - for a wide range of transport options.
You'll find a journey planner, fare information and even information about the weather!
Where can I find more information about the stadium and city?
For information on Newcastle upon Tyne - including hotels, attractions and places to eat and drink, we recommend taking a look at our city's tourism website, www.newcastlegateshead.com.
Can you recommend a hotel?
Our friends at NewcastleGateshead - the city's tourism organisation - have an excellent guide to where to stay at newcastlegateshead.com/accommodation.
If you'd like to buy your ticket and hotel room together, Thomas Cook Sport - our official travel partner - offers match breaks at thomascooksport.com/Football/Newcastle-United.
How do I access the stadium?
Your match ticket contains all the information you need about accessing the stadium and the stand you'll be sat in. Your block, row and seat number are printed on the front and correspond with the stadium plan on the reverse.
At the turnstile, simply place your ticket in the barcode scanner to unlock the gate.
Should you need anything on your approach to St. James' Park, at the turnstile or inside the ground, our stewards - identifiable by their high-visibility jackets and vests - will be very happy to help.
Maps and information points are also located around the stadium.
What time do turnstiles open?
Turnstiles in all areas of the stadium open 90 minutes before kick-off.
Hospitality areas open earlier and a full itinerary will be issued to the organiser or nominated contact following the booking process.
Can I buy food and drink at the stadium?
Yes, we offer supporters a wide range of hot and cold snacks and beverages at concourse kiosks throughout the stadium at competitive prices.
We accept contactless payments throughout the ground, as well as traditional notes and coins.
Please note that alcohol can be purchased from designated kiosks and consumed in concourse areas, but cannot be consumed in seating decks.
Where do away fans sit?
Away fans are situated on level 7 of the Leazes Stand
How do I get to Level 7?
There are 140 stairs and 14 landings up to Level 7 seating.
If you are disabled, have mobility issues or are concerned about the climb, please use the nearby lift.
Please ask one of our friendly stewards who will be very happy to direct you.
Using the new website
Can I use my old NUFCTV login on this site?
The registration and login system for this website is new, and any existing logins you have for other/ historic NUFC websites will not work here
For example, if you were a subscriber to the paid NUFCTV service, that account login will not work on the new site.
All videos and live audio commentary are now 100% free of charge to anyone who registers on the new site, and setting up a new account is very easy. You can either:
- create an account using your email address, or
- you can register via your Facebook, Twitter or Google account
If you use your Facebook, Twitter or Google account, you won't need to set a password, and logging-in will be a 1-click process for any future sign-ins.
Now that this website build is complete, our next focus will be to unify the login across as many NUFC sites as possible, starting with the Ticketing site - currently your login from tickets.nufc.co.uk will not work on this site. That's a complex job in practice, even if it's simple in theory... rest assured we're working on
That's a complex job in practice, even if it's simple in theory... rest assured we're working on it though.
If you're having persistent problems with registration or login, please get in touch using the contact form and we'll do our best to help.
What's happening with the mobile app?
This website is built to be responsive, which means that every page should work fully and look good on any device - from laptops and PCs to tablets and mobiles.
Previously there was a 'mobile version' of the site at mobile.nufc.co.uk; since the advent of responsive web design techniques, that approach has become largely obsolete and so you'll now find that any links on the mobile.nufc.co.uk subdomain will redirect through to this main site at www.nufc.co.uk.
Similarly, there used to be a native NUFC mobile app for iOS and Android. This app had become outdated and since all functions on this new website are optimised for mobile browser use, that app will not be maintained from now on.
We may introduce new mobile apps in the future, if they can provide fans with a useful service that's not available through the mobile website.
Can I still get SMS text alerts?
Previously we offered SMS text alerts on matchdays via our old website partner.
With match updates now available through many channels - including the match centre on this site, our Twitter account, and many 3rd party services - we're not actively continuing the text alert service.
If you're still receiving these texts (which cost 25p each), you can unsubscribe by texting STOP to 88442.
For any further questions about this old service, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
