Team news: Miley handed first Premier League start at Bournemouth

Lewis Miley will make his first Premier League start for Newcastle United when they take on Bournemouth on Saturday evening (5:30pm kick-off).

The 17-year-old lines up in midfield for the injury-hit Magpies who head to the Vitality Stadium hoping to extend their unbeaten league run to eight games, with former Cherries boss Eddie Howe making three changes to his side following the midweek Champions League defeat at Borussia Dortmund.

Miguel Almirón and Anthony Gordon both come into the starting 11, with Miley - who made a cameo appearance off the bench in Dortmund - also in from the outset against Andoni Iraola's side.

Nick Pope is in goal, behind a back four of Kieran Trippier, Jamaal Lascelles, Fabian Schär and Lewis Hall.

Miley is in the middle of the park alongside fellow academy product Sean Longstaff and Joelinton, with Bruno Guimarães suspended.

And further forward, Almirón and Joe Willock will provide support for Gordon in attack, with Callum Wilson having not travelled for the fixture.

There are two goalkeepers among the substitutes for Howe's depleted United, with Martin Dúbravka and Mark Gillespie both named.

Under-21 players Alex Murphy, Amadou Diallo and Ben Parkinson are included too, along with the more experienced Tino Livramento, Emil Krafth, Paul Dummett and Matt Ritchie.
