Team news: Almirón replaces injured Isak

Miguel Almirón replaces the injured Alexander Isak in Newcastle United's starting XI for this afternoon's visit of Luton Town (kick-off 15:00 GMT) - while two key men return to the squad for the clash with the Hatters.

Callum Wilson is among the substitutes, having not featured since the Magpies' Boxing Day home defeat to Nottingham Forest, while Harvey Barnes is also back on the bench.

The summer signing limped off with a foot problem in his second start for the club against Sheffield United in September and hasn't played since, but is now available for Eddie Howe to call upon once more.

Almirón came off the bench to replace Isak when the Swedish forward was hurt at Aston Villa in midweek, claiming an assist, and is rewarded with a starting berth here.

Martin Dúbravka is in goal behind an unchanged defence of Kieran Trippier - who continues as captain - at right back, Dan Burn on the left and Sven Botman and Fabian Schär in the centre.

United's midfield comprises of Bruno Guimarães, Lewis Miley and Sean Longstaff, while Almirón and Jacob Murphy support Anthony Gordon, who is set to lead the line.

But Wilson's presence on the bench gives United the ability to change that if required, while Barnes could also add fresh impetus.

They're joined in the dugout by Tino Livramento, Emil Krafth, Paul Dummett, Lewis Hall, Matt Ritchie and youngster Joe White, as well as back-up goalkeeper Loris Karius.
