Family Area Sold Out

Written by Newcastle Utd

Season tickets in the 8,200-capacity Family Area at St. James' Park have now sold out after a busy day of sales

Season tickets in the 8,200-capacity Family Area at St. James' Park have now sold out after a busy day of sales in the Newcastle United box office.

With seats used by season ticket holders last season currently reserved for renewal until 30th June, new season ticket holders have snapped up remaining spares.

Should any of last season's season ticket holders in the Family Area choose not to renew by the end of the month, those seats will become available on general sale from 1st July. The Club is encouraging supporters to complete their applications for the Family Area as normal in the meantime.

While the South East corner and Gallowgate have also seen strong sales, availability remains in most areas of the stadium.

Despite relegation to the Championship, sales for the 2016/17 season have spiked following news that Rafa Benítez will remain as manager of the Magpies, as well as the Club lowering all season ticket prices by ten per cent.

Supporters have been able to secure a season ticket at St. James' Park from as little as £329 (just over £14 per game) or only £68 for juniors - around £3 per match. Current season ticket holders on long-term price deals will be paying even less and the Club will be confirming new prices and refund information in writing from around 15th June.

Stephen Tickle, box office manager at Newcastle United, said: "It's been several years since we've seen sales at the high level we had yesterday. Our phone lines and website are running at capacity and the box office has been working overtime to service demand.

"On behalf of our box office team, I'd like to thank supporters for their patience. We'll continue to work hard as hard as we can to make the process as quick and convenient as possible."

Supporters wishing to renew season tickets can do so by clicking here, by calling 0844 372 1892 (calls cost 7p per minute plus network access charge), or in person at the St. James' Park box office.

Supporters purchasing a new season ticket can do so online here, via the phone number above or in person at the St. James' Park box office.

Anyone wishing to purchase their season ticket by Direct Debit must fill in an application form and a Direct Debit form, which must be signed and returned by post or in person to: Box Office, Newcastle United, St. James' Park, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 4ST. Please note the Direct Debit option is not available online.
