- Kickoff:
The Magpies will travel to the Pirelli Stadium on Friday, 30th July, with kick-off set for 7:45pm.
It will be just the second time United have faced Burton away from home, with the first coming in the 2016/17 Championship-winning campaign, where goals from Dwight Gayle and Mo Diamé earned a 2-1 win.
They also faced each other at St. James' Park that season, in a game best remembered for Matt Ritchie's penalty being controversially ruled out by referee Keith Stroud. Ritchie’s subsequent winner sealed a 1-0 win on that occasion.
Burton are managed by Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink and secured safety in League One towards the end of last season.
