Adcock to referee game
James Adcock will referee the match against Ipswich Town on Saturday.

He qualified as a referee in 2000, aged 16, and is following in the footsteps of his father, David, who also officiated in the Football League.

Adcock has now refereed more than 150 league matches, but this will be his first involving Newcastle.

So far this season, he has taken charge of 12 games in all competitions, showing 32 yellow cards and one red.

On Saturday, Adcock will be assisted by Tony Peart and Nick Hopton. The fourth official will be Darren Handley.
