Adam Armstrong scored twice in as many minutes as Coventry City thrashed Bury 6-0 in League One on Saturday.
The teenage forward took his tally for the season to 19 with his second-half brace at the Ricoh Arena, as the Sky Blues continued their push for automatic promotion.
Coventry were already four goals to the good when Armstrong got himself in on the act with his quick-fire double, both clever, placed finishes having been found by Joe Cole and John Fleck respectively.
Fellow Magpies' loanee Gael Bigirimana was not involved for Coventry.
Also in League One, Haris Vuckic was an unused substitute as high-flying Wigan Athletic recorded a goalless draw at home against Oldham Athletic.
In the Championship, Sammy Ameobi was sent off for the first time in his career as Cardiff City's play-off push stuttered with a goalless draw at struggling Charlton Athletic.
The wide man picked up a pair of bookings - in the final minute of each half - to receive his marching orders seconds before the final whistle at the Valley.
The result stretched Cardiff's unbeaten run to five games but they remain ninth in the second tier.
In League Two, Kyle Cameron and Lubomir Satka helped York City climb off the foot of the table with a 2-1 home victory over Notts County.
The defenders both played the full 90 minutes at Bootham Crescent, and although Satka scored an own goal midway through the second half, the Minstermen held on for three important points in their bid for survival.
Elsewhere, Macaulay Gillesphey and Alex Gilliead were both handed starting spots but couldn't prevent Carlisle United suffering a 1-0 defeat at Newport County.
Defender Gillesphey played the full match, while forward Gilliead was replaced after 70 minutes of the clash at Rodney Parade, with the result leaving the Cumbrians six points off the play-off places.
In the National League, young goalkeeper Brendan Pearson was an unused substitute for Gateshead, who went down 4-0 at Dover Athletic.
And finally, across the Channel, Remy Cabella and Florian Thauvin helped Marseille secure a 1-1 draw at Nice on Sunday.
Cabella was involved for the entirety of the Ligue 1 fixture at the Allianz Riviera, while Thauvin stepped off the substitutes' bench for the final 27 minutes.
