Steve McClaren has named an unchanged starting line-up as Newcastle United travel to Swansea City in the Barclays Premier League on Saturday (3pm kick-off).

The Magpies recorded an impressive and encouraging 2-2 opening day draw with Southampton six days ago, and head coach McClaren has kept faith with the same players for United's trip to South Wales.

That means starts for summer signings Georginio Wijnaldum and Chancel Mbemba, while Senegalese striker Papiss Cisse will be hoping to repeat the brace he scored at the Liberty Stadium last October.

Newcastle are expected to line up in a 4-2-3-1 formation, with goalkeeper Tim Krul behind a back four of Daryl Janmaat, Mbemba, captain Fabricio Coloccini and Massadio Haidara.

Vurnon Anita and Jack Colback will anchor the visitors' midfield, with a trio of Moussa Sissoko, Wijnaldum and Gabriel Obertan ahead of them.

And they will be tasked with supplying the ammunition for last season's top scorer Cisse, who is already off the mark following his goal against the Saints last time out.

On the substitutes' bench, there is no place for Dutch playmaker Siem de Jong, who has a shin complaint. Centre-back Mike Williamson takes his place among the replacements, joining Aleksandar Mitrovic, Ayoze Perez, Rolando Aarons, Cheick Tiote, Steven Taylor and goalkeeper Karl Darlow.

Swansea City (4-2-3-1): Lukasz Fabianski; Kyle Naughton, Federico Fernandez, Ashley Williams (c), Neil Taylor; Jack Cork, Jonjo Shelvey; Andre Ayew, Gylfi Sigurdsson, Jefferson Montero; Bafetimbi Gomis

Substitutes: Kristoffer Nordfeldt, Angel Rangel, Kyle Bartley, Leon Britton, Nathan Dyer, Wayne Routledge, Eder

Newcastle United (4-2-3-1): Tim Krul; Daryl Janmaat, Chancel Mbemba, Fabricio Coloccini (c), Massadio Haidara; Vurnon Anita, Jack Colback; Moussa Sissoko, Georginio Wijnaldum, Gabriel Obertan; Papiss Cisse

Substitutes: Karl Darlow, Steven Taylor, Mike Williamson, Cheick Tiote, Rolando Aaronas, Ayoze Perez, Aleksandar Mitrovic

Referee: Mike Jones (Cheshire)
