United fans have helped raise thousands of pounds for charity after signed T-shirts in support of Jonas Gutierrez were auctioned

Newcastle United fans have helped raise more than £5,000 for charity after signed T-shirts in support of Magpies star Jonas Gutierrez were auctioned off.
In September, United's players took to the St. James' Park pitch against Hull City wearing warm-up tops supporting their teammate Gutierrez, who had been battling testicular cancer before announcing on Monday he has been given the all-clear.
Fifteen of those special T-shirts, signed by the Magpies squad and staff, were auctioned by Newcastle United Foundation with all proceeds going to men's health charity Movember, which was nominated by Argentine international Gutierrez.
And the auction was hugely popular, with £5,110 being donated to the charity which aims to save and improve the lives of men affected by prostate cancer, testicular cancer and mental health problems.
