Sean Longstaff

North Shields-born Sean usually plays in the number ten role behind a striker, but is also capable of playing in a deeper-lying position in midfield.

He made his Under-18 debut against Arsenal in April 2014 and has progressed quickly since then, stepping up to the Under-21s for a Northumberland Senior Cup tie with Team Northumbria in which he entered the fray as a substitute and grabbed a hat-trick.

Now firmly established in the Magpies’ second string, Sean is one of the Under-23s chief goal threats, and he bagged another hat-trick for Peter Beardsley’s side in their 5-1 Central League Cup victory over Hartlepool in October 2016.
