Paul Woolston

Born in North Shields, Paul made two Newcastle United debuts within the space of a week back in 2014

He made his bow for the Under-18s against Middlesbrough in March 2014, four days before keeping a clean sheet against Manchester United on his first Under-21s appearance – at the age of just 15.

Paul, a former Biddick Academy pupil who used to play for Washington United, has also been capped by England at under-17 level, making his international debut in a 1-1 draw against the Czech Republic at Aggborough Stadium in August 2014.

The youngster gained further experience in the early part of the 2016-17 season, going out on work experience loans to both Darlington and Blyth Spartans.
