Lewis Cass

Equally capable at right-back or at centre-back, Lewis figured for North Shields Juniors before joining United's Little Benton Academy at the age of 12.

Cass featured regularly for Newcastle's Under-23 squad after signing his first professional contract with the club in July 2018 and featured on the bench for Newcastle United's final Premier League fixture of the 2018/19 campaign - a 4-0 victory away at Fulham.  Emirates FA Cup third round clash at Rochdale.

‘Cassy’, who was also named on the bench for the Magpies' Emirates FA Cup third round clash at Rochdale, admires the play of Carlos Puyol and Dani Alves and cites his Dad as the biggest influence on his career.

The versatile defender has completed positive loan spells at Hartlepool United and Port Vale in recent seasons, scoring his first professional goal for the Valiants during an FA Cup victory over Accrington Stanley in November 2021.
