Daniel Barlaser

Dan, who was born in Gateshead but has represented Turkey as well as England at youth international level, is a skilful central midfielder and a fine passer of the ball.

Formerly of Swalwell Swifts, Dan has established himself as a regular starter in the Under-23s side since making his debut at that level in December 2013, captaining them on a number of occasions.

Having previously represented Turkey, he received a call-up to the England Under-18 squad in June 2015, where he featured alongside Freddie Woodman and Adam Armstrong, his teammates at club level.

He was named on the bench for the first team twice during the 2015-16 campaign – against Sheffield Wednesday in the Capital One Cup, and West Bromwich Albion in the Premier League.
