Charlie Wiggett

Reading-born defender Charlie Wiggett joined Newcastle United from Chelsea this summer and is looking to make the step up to under-23 football with the Magpies.

The teenage centre-back signed his first professional contract for Chelsea in the summer of 2019 after joining the Blues' Academy from Swindon Town.

A regular at under-18 level last term, he has captained Chelsea at several age groups before arriving at St. James' Park in June.

Naming Virgil van Dijk as his footballing idol, the Berkshire-born youngster netted his first goal for United's second-string in his second appearance - a 4-0 away win against their Birmingham City counterparts.
