Adam Wilson

Position:
Forward

Adam made his under-23s debut for United’s second-string at the age of 16 as the young Magpies won 5-1 against Hartlepool United in the Central League Cup.

Born in Ashington, Wilson previously turned out for Newcastle City Juniors as a schoolboy before joining United's Academy.

The 20-year-old was ruled out of competitive action with an ankle and reoccurring thigh injury during the 2019/20 campaign , spending ten months on the sidelines before scoring on his first start against Stoke City in a 4-2 win for United's second-string.

A fan of Thierry Henry and Lionel Messi, Adam is a creative and skilful winger who was part of the under-23 side that reached the 2016/17 Premier League 2 Division Two play-off final.

Wilson has represented England at under-18 level, making his debut for the Young Lions on 21 March 2018 in a 4-0 win over Qatar at St. George's Park.
