Jamie Sterry

Hailing from Newcastle, full-back Jamie has progressed through the ranks at United, excelling for the club’s under-18 side before making his under-21 debut against Reading in January 2013.

After establishing himself as an important member of Peter Beardsley’s second string United side, Jamie – who is eligible to represent Italy, thanks to an Italian grandfather – spent much of the 2015/16 campaign training with the Magpies first team.

On the final day of the season, he made his debut for the club he supports, replacing Moussa Sissoko for the final seven minutes of the 5-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur at St. James’ Park.

Jamie has spent time on loan at Coventry City during the 2016-17 season, scoring his first professional goal for the Sky Blues in their FA Cup draw against Morecambe.
