Rosie Missen

Position:
Midfielder

New Zealand-born midfielder who joined the Lady Magpies ahead of the 2021/22 campaign.

Rosie first began playing football when she was four years old and was selected for New Zealand training camps at under-15 and under-17 age groups before moving to London in 2014 and joining West Ham United Women. She spent a year-and-a-half there before suffering a back injury and, after a short break, signed for Haringey Borough Women which she credits with restoring her confidence and love for the game.

She moved to Newcastle at the beginning of 2021 and now teaches PE at Benfield School. Despite still being in her 20s, Rosie is one of the more experienced players in Becky Langley's young squad and is looking to pass on some of her knowledge to her team mates as well as bringing her talent and passing ability to the Lady Magpies' midfield.
