A big, powerful attacking player who can play as a midfielder or forward, Mo Diamé is a product of France’s famed Clairefontaine national football centre and he represented Senegal at international level
Born in Creteil, a southeastern suburb of Paris, he began his professional career at Lens in 2003 - representing the club’s ‘B’ side - before moving to Spain to join CD Linares in 2007.
Mo spent the 2008/09 season with Rayo Vallecano in the Spanish second tier before heading to England, where he has represented Wigan Athletic, West Ham United and Hull City.
His winning goal against Sheffield Wednesday in the Championship Play-off Final at Wembley in the summer of 2016 helped the Tigers to promotion back to the Premier League before Rafa Benítez secured his services at St. James’ Park.
Mo has since become a firm fans' favourite on Tyneside, with a number of outstanding displays in the Premier League during the 2017/18 season endearing him to those on the terraces.
