Young Magpies to face Sunderland in International Cup quarter-final

Newcastle United Under-23s will face north east rivals Sunderland away from home in the quarter-final of the Premier League International Cup.
United’s reward for progressing to the knockout stage of the competition is a Tyne-Wear derby tie with the Black Cats, who were beaten 5-0 by FC Porto in the final of last season’s competition.
The Magpies progressed from Group A, with wins over Sparta Prague and PSV Eindhoven sandwiching a defeat at Liverpool, while Sunderland made it out of Group B, winning two and drawing one of their three group games.
