Young Magpies to face Reading in Premier League Cup

Ben Dawson’s side secured their place in the knockout stages by progressing from the group stage, where they faced Notts County, Leeds United and Southampton.

Three wins and two draws proved enough to see the Magpies through, and their reward is a trip to Reading, who progressed from a group containing Fulham, Birmingham City and Colchester United.

United’s tie against the Royals will take place between Thursday, 14^th March and Sunday, 17^th March, with the winners advancing to the quarter-finals.
