Yedlin undergoes groin operation

Newcastle United defender DeAndre Yedlin has undergone successful surgery in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, this week to repair a groin injury.
The 25-year-old, who has made 28 starts and one substitute appearance in the Premier League this term, missed Saturday's game against Liverpool in order to have the operation.
His recovery will be monitored by Newcastle United and US national team medical staff, with the CONCACAF Gold Cup taking place this summer.
