Woolston joins South Shields on loan

The former England under-17 international has agreed to stay with the Evo-Stik North promotion challengers for the rest of the season and could make his debut in Saturday's game at Atherton Collieries. 

Woolston - who was born in North Shields - spent time on loan with Darlington and Blyth Spartans last season. He helped the latter to win the Evo-Stik Premier Division title.

The Mariners are currently second in their division.
