Newcastle United goalkeeper Freddie Woodman has been named in the England Under-21 squad for their European Championship qualifiers next month.

The Young Lions face Holland at Norwich City’s Carrow Road on Thursday, 6th September 7.45pm kick-off), before travelling to Jegalva to face Latvia at Zemgales Olimpiskais Centrs on Tuesday, 11th September (3pm kick-off).

Aidy Boothroyd’s youngsters have a five-point lead at the top of Group 4 with four qualifiers left to play as they bid to reach the 2019 finals, which will be held in Italy and San Marino next summer.
