Women's St. James' Park match switches to FA Cup opposition

Newcastle United Women will now host Barnsley Women at St. James' Park on Sunday, 27th November after progressing to the Vitality Women's FA Cup second round.

Becky Langley's side were initially scheduled to host Bradford City Women at the stadium in the FA Women's National League Division One North, but, in accordance with FA rules, they will now host the Tykes instead after winning their Women's FA Cup first round tie at Hull City Ladies on Sunday.

Kick-off will remain at 2pm GMT and all existing tickets purchased for the original league fixture will remain valid for the Women's FA Cup tie.

The cup tie with Barnsley Women will be only Newcastle United Women's second ever match at St. James' Park. A total of 22,134 supporters witnessed a 4-0 victory for the Lady Magpies over Alnwick Town Ladies in May 2022, setting an attendance record for a league match at all levels of the women's game in the UK last season.

The fixture with Barnsley Women falls two weeks after the start of the Premier League's break for the men's FIFA World Cup in Qatar and will be the last chance for fans to watch live football at St. James' Park until the festive period.

Buy tickets early

Supporters are encouraged to purchase tickets for Newcastle United Women v Barnsley Women at the earliest opportunity, with advanced tickets priced at just £3 for adults and £1 for concessions at book.nufc.co.uk.

To minimise large queues at cash turnstiles and avoid delays to kick-off, ticket prices will rise on matchday to £6 for adults and £2 for concessions.

Matchday premium seats

Premium seats are available for this match and include Directors Box seating (subject to availability), unallocated lounge seating, a Sunday roast sandwich and fries and pay bar, along with pre-match guest speaker.

Premium tickets are priced at £30 for adults and £22.50 for concessions and can be booked at book.nufc.co.uk.
