Wilson wonder strike nominated for Premier League goal of the month
Callum Wilson's magnificent overhead kick against Crystal Palace has been nominated for the Premier League's Budweiser Goal of the Month award for October.
The Newcastle number nine earned his side a point at Selhurst Park with a superb piece of acrobatic improvisation to beat Vicente Guaita, with Wilson admitting that it was the best goal he has scored for the Magpies so far.
And the strike is one of eight goals on the shortlist for the award, which supporters can vote for here.
Liverpool's Mohamed Salah has two goals nominated - against Manchester City and Watford - while Leicester's Youri Tielemans also has a pair of goals, against Manchester United and Brentford, on the shortlist.
Manchester United duo Cristiano Ronaldo and Mason Greenwood are up for the award for their respective goals against Tottenham and Leicester while Southampton's Che Adams' effort against Watford is also nominated.
Voting closes at 12 noon (GMT) on Monday, 8th November.
