Watch Newcastle United Women v Derby County Women live on NUFC TV on Sunday

Newcastle United Women's promotion challenge continues on Sunday - and their home fixture against Derby County Women will be broadcast live on NUFC TV.

Last weekend's 3-0 win at title rivals Burnley Women extended the Magpies' lead at the top of the FA Women's National League (FAWNL) Northern Premier Division table to seven points - albeit other sides around them have games in hand - putting Becky Langley's side in a strong position as they head into the campaign's final eight fixtures.

As well as leading the league standings, United have the highest average attendance in the division; a crowd of 4,172 turned out for November's 5-0 win over Stourbridge Women, while United were watched by crowds of 28,565 and 24,092 at St. James' Park last season.

Newcastle beat West Brom Women 3-0 in front of another big attendance at the stadium as part of the Sela Cup in pre-season, while tickets are selling well for the FAWNL League Cup semi-final tie against Portsmouth Women at St. James' Park later this month.

Kick-off at Kingston Park this weekend is at 14:00 GMT and ticket prices are £5 for adults and £1 for children, with another bumper crowd expected.

But supporters who can't make the match will be able to watch for free on NUFC TV, while the game will also be streamed live on Newcastle United's official YouTube channel.

Commentary will come from former Lioness Aran Embleton, a Newcastle fan from Cramlington who became one of the first women from the North East to represent England and played in the Women's FA Cup final for Doncaster Belles in 2000, and United defender Jodie Bartle, who is nearing a return from a long-term injury.

Paige Bailey-Gayle has scored three goals in her first two games in black and white, while electric winger Kacie Elson and skipper Amber-Keegan Stobbs will also be players to keep an eye on as United look to take another step towards a second successive promotion.

Can Langley's lasses take another big step towards the Women's Championship with three more points? Buy tickets here or watch live on NUFC TV or YouTube from 14:00 GMT on Sunday.
