Venue confirmed for quarter-final clash

Written by Dan King

Stocksbridge Park Steels' Look Local Stadium will host next week's Premier League Cup quarter-final tie between Sheffield United and Newcastle United.

The 3,500-capacity ground on Bracken Moor in Stocksbridge, Sheffield, was the venue for the Blades' 2-1 Round of 16 victory over Derby County earlier this week.

Kick-off will now be 7pm, rather than the previously advertised 2pm, on Friday, 6th April.

A result must be achieved on the night, with extra time and penalties if required.

Evo-Stik South side Stocksbridge Park Steels are perhaps best known as one of England striker Jamie Vardy's former clubs, while ex-Newcastle hero Chris Waddle played for them towards the end of his career.

You can view the Magpies' full under-23 fixture list here.
