Newcastle United Under-23s have qualified for the last 16 of the Premier League Cup with a game to spare.
Elliott Dickman's side currently sit in second place of Group G on ten points, four ahead of third-placed Watford, and the Hornets' 3-0 defeat against Huddersfield Town on Tuesday night confirmed Newcastle's progression into the knockout stages.
The young Magpies complete their group campaign away at leaders Huddersfield on Monday, 14th February, and can top the group should they defeat their Terriers counterparts by four or more goals at the John Smith's Stadium (kick-off 7pm GMT).
Newcastle's second-string completed a memorable run to the Premier League Cup final in 2019 before suffering a 1-0 defeat against Everton at Goodison Park.
