Under-18s Set For City

Written by Dan King

Two of the Under-18 Premier League's top three sides meet at Little Benton on Saturday morning

Newcastle, in third, entertain second-placed Manchester City in an 11am kick-off - and either side could leapfrog leaders Manchester United with three points.

Dave Watson's Magpies were 4-2 winners at Middlesbrough last weekend, but will be without defender Lewis Gibson as he has reported for England duty ahead of the Young Lions' upcoming European Under-17 Championships qualifying fixtures.

Striker Lewis McNall remains sidelined through injury but Danish forward Elias Sorensen could play.

There could be a debut for Finnish goalkeeper Otto Huuhtanen.

Admission at Newcastle United's Benton-based Academy is free.
