Under-18s learn Youth Cup opponents

Written by Rory Mitchinson

Newcastle United Under-18s will travel to Brighton & Hove Albion in the Third Round of the FA Youth Cup.

The Magpies progressed to the last eight of the competition last term, seeing off local rivals Sunderland before losing to Tottenham Hotspur at St. James’ Park.

Dave Watson’s side have yet to win a league game so far this season, and currently prop up the Premier League U18 North Division ahead of tomorrow’s visit of the Black Cats.

Opponents Brighton, meanwhile, lie in mid-table in the southern equivalent, though they are winless in their last five outings.

The Third Round tie must be played by Saturday 16th December, unless mutually agreed otherwise.
