Under-18s back in league action

Written by Dan King

Newcastle's youngsters are back in U18 Premier League action on Saturday.

Dave Watson's youngsters progressed to the fifth round of the FA Youth Cup with a 3-1 win against Swansea at St. James' Park on Monday night.

Thomas Allan came off the bench to score twice after Lewis McNall had put United in front, and both players could be involved against the Rams at Little Benton this weekend.

Mo Sangare, Craig Spooner and Matty Longstaff are also in line to play. Derby are currently sixth in the table - one place and one point above the Magpies. However, Newcastle have played three fewer games.

Kick-off at Newcastle's Academy is at 1pm and admission is free.
