Two away trips selected for television coverage

Written by Tom Easterby

Newcastle United’s forthcoming Premier League fixtures against Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur have been selected for live television coverage.

Rafa Benítez returns to Anfield with the Magpies in March, and the game – which was initially scheduled for a 3pm kick-off on Saturday, 3rd March – will now kick-off at 5.30pm on the same date, and will be shown live on BT Sport.

And United’s trip to Wembley to take on Spurs later in the month – which had been set to kick-off at 3pm on Saturday, 17th March – has been brought forward to Friday, 16th March. The clash with Mauricio Pochettino’s side will now kick-off at 8pm, and will be shown live on Sky Sports.

That game at Wembley is subject to change, should either side reach the sixth round of the FA Cup.
