Top-of-the-table clash on Saturday

Written by Dan King

It's first against second on Saturday, as Wolves and Newcastle meet in the Under-18 Premier League group three.

Wolves are top, with four wins and a draw, but the Magpies are just one place behind having won three and drawn one of their five matches so far.

The two sides had been due to play at Little Benton last month, but the game was postponed due to illness and Saturday's match will be played behind closed doors at the neutral venue of Blackburn Rovers' Academy in Brockhall Village.

Kick-off is at 3pm and Danish striker Elias Sorensen will be looking to continue his good run of form in front of goal.

Lewis Gibson is on international duty with England's under-17s but the likes of Gideon Adu Peprah and Craig Spooner will offer defensive options to coach Dave Watson.
