Three more Magpies set for international action

Three more Newcastle United players will be in international action this month, with Emil Krafth, Fabian Schär and Martin Dúbravka all receiving call-ups this week.

Full back Krafth has been named in the Sweden squad for their crucial 2022 World Cup qualification play-off semi-final with the Czech Republic on Thursday, 24th March, with kick-off set for 7:45pm at the Friends Arena in Stockholm.

Fellow defender Schär, meanwhile, could feature in two friendlies for Switzerland, with one set to take place at Wembley.

Murat Yakin’s side face England under the arch on Saturday, 26th March, with that game kicking off at 5:30pm.

They will then host Kosovo in another non-competitive fixture, with that game – which will be played at Letzigrund in Zurich – set for 5pm on Tuesday, 29th March.

And Dúbravka will also be in action in the coming weeks, with Slovakia set to travel to Finland for a friendly which will also take place on Tuesday, 29th March.

The United goalkeeper, who has been in impressive form for his club during their recent revival under Eddie Howe, could line up for his nation at the Olympiastadion Helsinki (5pm kick-off).
