Team news: United unchanged

Written by Rory Mitchinson

Rafa Benítez has named an unchanged team for the first time since October as Newcastle United take on Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday lunchtime.

The Magpies’ boss continues with three centre halves and two wing backs for his side’s trip to Wembley, with DeAndre Yedlin, Fabian Schär, Jamaal Lascelles, Florian Lejeune and Matt Ritchie making up the rearguard, from right to left.

Isaac Hayden and Sean Longstaff continue in central midfield, with Christian Atsu and Ayoze Pérez providing support to lone frontman Salomón Rondón.

On the bench, there is a place for new loan signing Antonio Barreca. The Italian linked up with the Magpies on Thursday, joining from Ligue 1 outfit Monaco until the end of the season.

With Cal Roberts and Jacob Murphy both having headed out on loan, fit-again Joselu is also named among the list of United substitutes.

Newcastle United: Martin Dúbravka, DeAndre Yedlin, Fabian Schär, Jamaal Lascelles, Florian Lejeune, Matt Ritchie, Isaac Hayden, Sean Longstaff, Christian Atsu, Ayoze Pérez, Salomón Rondón.

Substitutes: Freddie Woodman, Javier Manquillo, Ciaran Clark, Federico Fernández, Antonio Barreca, Kenedy, Joselu.
