Sunderland could lie in wait in cup clash
Written by Dan King
The draw for the fifth round of the FA Youth Cup has been made.
And Newcastle United could face a trip to the Stadium of Light to meet local rivals Sunderland - if they can overcome Swansea City in the fourth round.
Dave Watson's young Magpies take on the Swans at St. James' Park on Monday (kick-off 7pm). Sunderland, meanwhile, have a tricky tie against Shrewsbury on Wednesday.
But if both North-East clubs get through, they would meet in the last 16.
The full fifth round draw is:
Manchester City or Liverpool v Wigan Athletic or Southampton
Birmingham City or Chelsea v Sheffield Wednesday or Gillingham
Blackburn Rovers or Aston Villa v FC Broxbourne Borough or Yeovil Town
Sunderland or Shrewsbury Town v Newcastle United or Swansea City
Queens Park Rangers or Tottenham Hotspur v Burnley or Norwich City
Stoke City or Nottingham Forest v Brighton & Hove Albion or Cambridge United
Middlesbrough or Fulham v Leicester City or Carlisle United
Preston North End or Everton v AFC Wimbledon or Hull City
Admission at St. James' Park on Monday night is free for all supporters.
