Strong squad for televised Wolves clash

Written by Dan King

Six players with first team experience for Newcastle have been named in Peter Beardsley's squad for Monday night's televised PL2 game against Wolves.

The match kicks off at 7pm BST at St. James' Park, and will be shown live on NUFC TV.

Dwight Gayle - last season's top scorer as United won the Sky Bet Championship title - will play, as will Jack Colback, who has yet to feature for the Magpies this term.

Henri Saivet, Rolando Aarons, Jamie Sterry and Daniel Barlaser also have the opportunity to impress Rafa Benítez, while England under-21 international Freddie Woodman will start in goal.

Beardsley's opposite number in the Wolves dugout will be former Newcastle ace Scott Sellars - a key member of the 'Entertainers' team of the mid-1990s.

The East Stand will be open, with free entry for season ticket holders and members; otherwise admission is £3 for adults and £1 concessions.

And the game will be shown live on NUFC TV. It's free to sign up via the club's official website. Fans are advised to ensure they are logged into their NUFC TV accounts in good time ahead of kick-off.
