Souvenir programme on sale for Sunday's Newcastle United Women game at St. James' Park

Newcastle United Women face Barnsley Women at St. James' Park in the second round of the Vitality Women's FA Cup on Sunday (kick-off 2pm GMT) and with more than 25,000 tickets already sold, the attendance is on course to be the highest ever for the competition outside of a final.

And there will be a superb souvenir programme on sale for what promises to be a historic occasion, with the Lady Magpies playing at the famous stadium for a second time following a momentous 4-0 victory against Alnwick Town Ladies in May.

The crowd that day - 22,134 - was a record for a league match at all levels of the women's game in the UK last season, and Sunday's cup clash is set to be an even better occasion.

A 20-page programme will be on sale around the ground, priced at £2, and includes photographs, player profiles and information on both teams, with midfielder Freya Bailes the cover star.

There's also an interview with winger Lauren Robson, who explains how the Lady Magpies want to "inspire" a new generation of supporters, the lyrics to Howay the Lasses - a song dedicated to the Lady Magpies, which will be performed at the game - and information on some inspirational half-time guests.

Becky Langley is also interviewed, while there are programme notes from the manager and captain Grace Donnelly. The programme is a perfect keepsake from the game - there are likely to be opportunities for autographs and pictures after the final whistle, too - and will be on sale around the ground, priced at £2.

Tickets for the big match are still available, but supporters are encouraged to purchase at the earliest opportunity, with advanced tickets priced at just £3 for adults and £1 for concessions at book.nufc.co.uk.

To minimise large queues at cash turnstiles and avoid delays to kick-off, ticket prices will rise on matchday to £6 for adults and £2 for concessions.
