Slovakia selection for Dúbravka

Written by Dan King

Newcastle goalkeeper Martin Dúbravka has been named in the Slovakia squad for the King's Cup in Bangkok later this month.

The 29-year-old, who joined the Magpies on loan from Sparta Prague in January, has made a brilliant start to his Premier League career. He won the FUN88 player of the month award for February and followed that up with a clean sheet in last weekend's win over Southampton.

Dúbravka currently has nine caps for his country.

Ján Kozák's side will face United Arab Emirates on Thursday, 22nd March before taking on either the hosts, Thailand, or Gabon later in the week.

All games will be played at the Rajamangala Stadium. Joining Dùbravka in the squad is former Magpies defender Lubo Satka, who is in line to win his first full cap.

Meanwhile, Chancel Mbemba has been named in the DR Congo squad for a friendly against Tanzania on Tuesday, 27th March.
