Scott's the man in the middle at Molineux

Written by Rory Mitchinson

Graham Scott will referee Newcastle United’s Premier League clash against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Monday evening.

Scott’s only previous Magpies fixture this season came on Boxing Day, when Rafa Benítez’s side lost 4-0 to Liverpool at Anfield. On that occasion, he didn’t produce a card for either team – in contrast to the eight other top-flight games he has officiated this term.

All told, the Oxfordshire-based whistler has shown 46 yellow cards and two red since the campaign got underway, across 18 different fixtures. The last player he sent off was Watford’s Étienne Capoue, against Leicester City on 1st December.

Scott will be assisted by Daniel Cook and Richard West at Molineux. Simon Hooper will be the fourth official.
