Scott in charge of Cardiff trip

Written by Tom Easterby

Graham Scott will take charge of Newcastle United’s penultimate Sky Bet Championship game of the season at Cardiff City on Friday night.

Scott, from Oxfordshire, has been appointed for the televised fixture at the Cardiff City Stadium (7.45pm kick-off), which will be his 27th game in total this season – and his 11th in the second tier.

So far this term, Scott has officiated in the Premier League, Championship, League One, League Two, the EFL Cup and the FA Cup.

His only previous appointment for a Newcastle game this season came in the 2-0 win at Leeds United back in November, during which he showed a yellow card to the Magpies’ Jack Colback.

And in all, he has dished out 91 yellow cards so far this campaign, along with four red cards.

He will be assisted on by Adrian Holmes and David Bryan on Friday night, while Andy Davies will be the fourth official.
