Referee revealed for Red Devils clash

Written by Dan King

Craig Pawson will take charge of his third Newcastle game of the season when the Magpies travel to Manchester United on Saturday.

The South Yorkshire official has already overseen United's 1-0 defeat at Huddersfield Town and the 1-1 draw against Liverpool.

And he'll be the man in the middle for the televised 5.30pm (UK time) kick-off at Old Trafford.

So far this term, he has refereed 12 matches in all competitions, and has shown 42 yellow cards and three red.

At the weekend, he will be assisted by Lee Betts and Constantine Hatzidakis, while Paul Tierney will be the fourth official.
