Referee confirmed for cup replay

Lee Probert will referee Wednesday night's Emirates FA Cup third round replay against Birmingham City.

The Wiltshire whistler is a member of the Select Group of referees and has taken charge of several Magpies games during his career - most recently United's 2-1 win at Burton Albion last month.

So far this term Probert - who refereed the FA Cup final in 2014, when Arsenal beat Hull at Wembley - has been in the middle for 20 games in all competitions. He's shown 35 yellow cards and one red.

On Wednesday evening, he will be assisted by Nick Hopton and James Bell. David Webb will be the fourth official.
