Pérez named FUN88 Player of the Month
Ayoze Pérez has been named the FUN88 Player of the Month for April.
The Spanish forward beat teammates Mohamed Diamé and Paul Dummett to the award, polling almost 63% of fans’ votes.
Pérez was instrumental in the Magpies successful push for Premier League safety last month, scoring twice and registering two assists.
He kicked off the month with an assist for Jonjo Shelvey at Leicester City before bagging a superb winning goal himself; lobbing the ball over Kasper Schemeichel from well outside the box.
His brilliant finish in the following game at St. James’ Park drew the Magpies level against Arsenal and his deft flick into the path of Matt Ritchie in the second half helped Rafa Benítez’s to another valuable three points.
