New venue for Under-23s' Fulham clash

Newcastle United under-23s' upcoming Premier League 2 visit of Fulham on Monday, 19th October has a new venue.

The Division Two game was due to take place at Whitley Park but will now be held at St. James' Park, with kick-off set for 1pm (BST).

No spectators will be able to attend the league clash due to the Coronavirus pandemic, which will be played behind-closed-doors.

Chris Hogg's side currently lie in eighth place of Premier League 2's second tier, two points adrift of the play-off places, after their opening three league fixtures.

United's second-string faced Fulham twice last term, beating the young Cottagers 2-1 in August 2019 before earning a 3-0 victory back in January.
