New kick-off time for Premier League Cup clash

Newcastle United's Premier League Cup visit of Scunthorpe United has been brought forward by six hours.

The game was due to kick-off at 7pm (GMT) on Friday, 21st February but the young Magpies' final group C fixture will now begin at 1pm at Whitley Park.

The young Magpies, who reached the Premier League Cup final last term, currently sit in second place on eight points - one adrift of leaders West Bromwich Albion - and will confirm their place in the last 16 with a victory on Tyneside.

However, should Hull City fail to beat Scunthorpe in their respective match, Newcastle's youngsters will secure their spot in the knockout stages without a ball having to be kicked.

Tickets for the cup clash at Whitley Park are £3 for adults and £1 concessions. Admission is free for season ticket holders and Members.
