New date for September's Spurs trip

Newcastle United’s Premier League clash at Tottenham Hotspur has a new date, after being rescheduled for live television coverage.

Earlier this week it was announced that every top flight fixture this month would be broadcast live in the UK, with the Magpies’ games at West Ham United on Saturday (8pm kick-off) and at home to Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday, 20th September (2pm kick-off) both set to be shown on Sky Sports.

And now it has been confirmed that United’s final Premier League fixture of the month against Jose Mourinho’s men, which was originally set to be played at 3pm on Saturday, 26th September, has been put back to Sunday, 27th September.

Kick-off in north London has now been set for 2pm, and the match will also be broadcast live on Sky Sports.

It will be just Newcastle’s second visit to Spurs’ recently-built new home, with Joelinton’s winner sealing a memorable 1-0 win for in the capital for Steve Bruce’s side on their first trip to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in August 2019.
