Match officials revealed for Blades visit

David Coote will be the referee for Newcastle United's Premier League visit of Sheffield United on Saturday, 14th March (kick-off 3pm GMT).

This will be the Nottinghamshire-born official's third game involving the Magpies this term after overseeing the Magpies' FA Cup third round tie at Rochdale, in which Coote booked no Newcastle players during a 1-1 draw at Spotland.

Coote also took charge of Newcastle's 2-1 Premier League win against Southampton back in December, booking Jonjo Shelvey at St. James' Park.

In total, Coote has refereed 22 games across the Premier League, Championship, FA Cup and Carabao Cup and, despite handing out 85 yellow cards, has only shown one red so far this term.

On Saturday at St. James' Park, Coote will be assisted by Peter Kirkup and Nick Hopton, while Robert Jones will be the fourth official. Martin Atkinson will be the video assistant referee and will be aided by Sian Massey-Ellis.
