Magpies face Newcastle Benfield in Senior Cup quarter-final
Newcastle United Under-23s will face Newcastle Benfield away from home in the quarter-finals of the Techflow Marine Northumberland Senior Cup.
The young Magpies, bidding to win the trophy for a 38th time, begin their cup campaign against the Northern League Division One outfit at Sam Smith's Park after both teams received byes into the last eight.
Neil Redfearn's side will make the short trip to Benfield in a repeat of the 2018 semi-final, which United's second-string won 3-0 on their route to lifting the cup at St. James' Park.
The tie is due to be played on the week preceding Saturday, 25th January 2020.
