Loan Watch: Watts scores, Woodman records tenth clean sheet

Kell Watts netted his first senior goal as Mansfield Town suffered a narrow 2-1 defeat at Leyton Orient on Tuesday night.

The 20-year-old defender, who played the full 90 minutes of the League Two clash, brought the Stags level with a close-range header on the hour mark after James Dayton had broken the deadlock for the hosts on the stroke of half-time.

However, the O's restored their lead in the 74th minute as Mal Benning's own goal proved to be the difference at Brisbane Road, with Mansfield remaining in 21st place of the English fourth tier.

Elsewhere, goalkeeper Freddie Woodman kept his tenth clean sheet of the season as Swansea City were held to a goalless draw against Queens Park Rangers at the Swans' Liberty Stadium.

The stalemate leaves Steve Cooper's side in ninth place on 47 points, three adrift of the Championship play-off spots.

Midfielder Jacob Murphy could be in action for Sheffield Wednesday tonight as the Owls travel to Luton Town while Rolando Aarons could also feature for Scottish Premiership side Motherwell, who are away at St. Johnstone.
